The Transformers: The IDW Collection Phase One, Volume 3, published by IDW Publishing, was the third in a series of hardcovers aiming to reprint the original IDW Transformers stories in a “suggested reading order”. New cover art (of Galvatron) is provided by E. J. Su. 339 pages.
This third volume includes the Transformers series Transformers/New Avengers and Devastation, as well as Spotlights – Galvatron, Blaster, Arcee, Grimlock, and Wheelie. Just like in the previous two collections, this volume has issues with, erm, issue placement. New Avengers/Transformers should have been placed in close proximity with Escalation #1, and definitely before Spotlight – Ramjet, both of which appeared in Volume 2. A special “Red Label” edition was released on January 29, 2014.
