One Piece Funko POPS

One Piece is a Shonen action-adventure manga written and drawn by Eiichiro Oda, serialized in the anthology Weekly Shonen Jump. Set in a fantasy world dominated by pirates, it mainly depicts the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a headstrong young captain with the power to stretch like rubber. Premiering in July 1997, One Piece has currently published over 1000 chapters (collected into 100 tankobon volumes) and generated a massive franchise, including an anime adaptation from Toei Animation, many feature films, and countless other pieces of merchandise. Since the late 2000s it has been recognized as Japan’s most popular manga, even being commemorated by the Guinness World Records as the world’s best-selling single-author comic book. One Piece is divided into two halves: Sea of Survival: Super Rookies Saga, and The Final Sea: The New World Saga. Sea of Survival: Super Rookies Saga is the given name to the first half of One Piece and spans from Chapter 1 to 597. It is separated into six sagas, each saga being divided into arcs. The plot follows a pirate, Monkey D. Luffy and his quest to form a pirate crew and sail to the Grand Line to find the fabled One Piece, which will make him the “Pirate King“. It is immediately followed by The Final Sea: The New World Saga, that is the given name to the second half of One Piece. It begins at Chapter 598.

Currently, it consists of three sagas, each saga being divided into arcs. It takes place after the Sea of Survival: Super Rookies Saga. It centers on the Straw Hats‘ adventures in the New World after the two years they spent training. Gol D. Roger was known as the Pirate King, the strongest and most infamous pirate to have sailed the Grand Line. The capture and death of Roger by the World Government brought a change throughout the world. His last words before his death revealed the location of the greatest treasure in the world, One Piece. It was this revelation that brought about the Grand Age of Pirates, men who dreamed of finding One Piece (which promises an unlimited amount of riches and fame), and quite possibly the most coveted of titles for the person who found it, the title of the Pirate King. Enter Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy that defies one’s standard definition of a pirate. Rather than the popular persona of a wicked, hardened, toothless pirate who ransacks villages for fun, Luffy’s reason for being a pirate is one of pure wonder, the thought of an exciting adventure and meeting new and intriguing people, along with finding One Piece, are his reasons of becoming a pirate. Following in the footsteps of his childhood hero, Shanks, Luffy and his crew travel across the Grand Line, experiencing crazy adventures, unveiling dark mysteries and battling strong enemies, all in order to reach One Piece.
