LEGO Education – Emotional Social Development

Since they are born, babies are able to perceive some emotions of the people around them and tend to have physical contact. Their Socio-Emotional Development begins with the need for exploration, with the need to relate to other people and attachment. Why are socio-emotional skills so important to children’s development? Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relational Skills, Responsible Decision Making. Children need to receive these teachings and have the opportunity to practice these skills, in much the same way they learn to read and solve math problems.
