Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Master Splinter Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Master Splinter, as a stylized Funko POP! Splinter is the Turtles’ father and ninja master in all 5 of the Golden Harvest/Imagi films. Along with his sons, Splinter temporarily stayed with April O’Neil in her new apartment, though unlike them he attempted to be a good guest and minimize the impact on her life. He sternly reminded his sons that they were still ninja, and that the outside world would not understand or accept them. After seeing April’s coverage of the TGRI cleanup, he chose to finally reveal that the canister of Mutagenic Ooze came from that same company. When the Turtles were later about to be killed by the Shredder, Splinter intervened just long enough to free them, though he did not otherwise contribute to the battle. Upon his sons successfully freeing Dr. Jordan Perry, Donatello became depressed over the revelation that the mutagen was simply a lab accident, and that there was evidently nothing more “special” about their origin as mutants. Splinter attempted to comfort his son by assuring him that his worth is not dependent on his origins. And told him that such a journey didn’t always have such an easy answer and stated that a search would have to wait. At the story’s conclusion, Splinter confronts the Turtles with a front-page picture of them fighting at a nightclub, where hundreds of people saw them clearly. Go Ninja, Go Ninja GO!

Super Shredder Funko POP, Funko POPS & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Funko POPS, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Super Shredder

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Super Shredder Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Super Shredder, as a stylized Funko POP! Shredder is the primary villain in the first 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, made a cameo in the 4th movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – 2014” and is the secondary villain in the 5th movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows – 2016“. In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, the Turtles believe that since Casey had crushed Shredder in the garbage truck, the Shredder was dead. It is soon revealed that Shredder somehow survived the crushing, with even greater scaring done to his face, as pointed out by Tatsu, but unseen by the fans. Upon returned to The Foot‘s fall back HQ (a junkyard), Shredder was bent on revenge against the Turtles. He revitalized his Foot Clan which was now largely dissolved. He sent Freddy, a member of the Foot to follow April, hoping to find the Turtles through her. When April’s team was doing a report on T.G.R.I., the Foot agent found some mutated dandelions and sent one to the Shredder. Upon seeing this, Shredder sent Tatsu and The Foot to retrieve the last vial of Ooze at TGRI and kidnap Professor Jordan Perry, and using the mutagen and Perry’s research, had a brown wolf and a snapping turtle turned into mutants. However, the mutation did not go precisely as planned, and the new mutants Tokka and Rahzar had the minds of babies.

Shredder ordered Tatsu to kill them, but Perry convinced him to keep them alive since their brute strength would be useful. He soon plays it to his advantage by manipulating the mutants as they imprinted him as their surrogate mother. The Foot captured Raphael and used him as bait to lure the other Turtles. Shredder had them caught in a net and was about to impale them on a bed of spikes but Splinter arrived to set them free, and the Turtles fought the Foot, Tokka and Rahzar and escaped with the professor. After the failed attempt to kill the Turtles in the junkyard, the Shredder would release Tokka and Rahzar to “have fun” and do damage upon the city as a means to challenge the Turtles to a final showdown. The Foot spy Freddy then gave April a message for the Turtles. Shredder would turn Tokka and Rahzar loose on Central Park if they did not accede to a rematch at the construction site (the Turtles accepted the terms because they knew that no human in Central Park would escape Tokka and Rahzar).

In the final battle which was carried right into a Vanilla Ice concert, the Turtles would defeat The Foot and Tatsu and de-mutate Tokka and Rahzar (with help from Perry). Shredder arrived with the last canister of Ooze, but the Turtles’ ally Keno arrived to spin-kick the vial out of the Shredder’s hands, which would be taken away by Professor Perry to be disposed of. Following this, Shredder grabbed a random woman from the concert and threatened to pour Ooze on her from a tiny vial he still possessed. Keno and Don, however, used the loudspeakers to blast him out of the building and into the docks outside. The Turtles followed him outside on a pier, only to find that the Shredder used the Ooze on himself out of desperation and had now transformed into a massive “Super Shredder“, a giant-monstrous being with superhuman strength and more spikes on his armor. During his fight with the Turtles, blinded by rage, the Super Shredder started breaking down the support beams of the docks, hoping to bring it all down on the Turtles which then collapses onto him. The Turtles escaped by diving into the water, while Shredder finally met his end from getting crushed by the pieces of the pier.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Mutant Rahzar Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Mutant Rahzar, as a stylized Funko POP! Rahzar is a mutant gray wolf minion of Shredder and cohort to Tokka. When Shredder found out that the substance that mutated the Turtles had been created by T.G.R.I. (Techno Global Research Industries), he sent his Foot Ninja to steal the Ooze and kidnap head TGRI scientist, professor Jordan Perry. Shredder instructs Perry to use the ooze to mutate an Alligator Snapping Turtle and a Gray Wolf, kidnapped from the Bronx Zoo thus creating Tokka and Rahzar. However, Jordan had secretly altered the mutagen, and as a result, the 2 mutants had the intelligence of human infants. Oroku SakiShredder” ordered the monsters to face him in battle, to teach them who their master was, the infantile mutants misinterpreted the word “master“, thinking it meant “mamma” and hugged him instead. Angered, Shredder ordered them to be destroyed, but Perry had sympathy for them and showed Saki their total obedience to him and that, as they were “playing” in the junkyard, lifting a large truck as if it were a toy, they had great strength.

This prompted Shredder to keep them alive. Despite their low intelligence, the 2 mutants’ incredible physical strength and intimidating demeanor made them more than a match for the Turtles. On their first encounter at Shredder and Tatsu‘s junkyard base, the Turtles were ill-prepared and barely managed to escape when trying to save their brother Raphael from capture and rescue Dr. Perry. Shredder unleashes Tokka and Rahzar on a neighborhood where they cause a lot of damage. The next day while the police were investigating the attack, April was confronted by some Foot Ninjas where Freddy has her give a message for the Turtles. If they didn’t meet The Foot at a construction site near the docks, Shredder would set Tokka and Rahzar out again into Central Park. As many people would get hurt, The Turtles and Splinter agreed that there was no other choice but to face Shredder. But the professor had a plan, with the help of Donatello and Keno, Dr. Perry prepared an anti-mutagen to de-mutate Tokka and Rahzar, which had to be ingested.

During their second encounter at the construction site, amidst a distraction, Leonardo and Michelangelo trick Tokka and Rahzar into eating the antidote (they froze the concoction into ice cubes and then hid them in a box of donuts, which they then offered to the two mutants as the “ritual of the traditional pre-fight donut”). Rahzar and Tokka devoured some of the donuts with continued coaxing from the Turtles. Surprisingly, Rahzar, regardless of his infant-like mentality, figured that something was wrong with the situation, and crushed one of the donuts in his claw, to discover the anti-mutagen cube. Enraged, Rahzar smashed Michaelangelo through a wall and Tokka smashed Raphael into the Dockshore Club interrupting a crowded dance concert by Vanilla Ice. As the final showdown commenced at the club, Leo and Raph were fending off Rahzar and Tokka’s snapping attacks. Dr. Perry informed them that their repeated burping was slowing the anti-mutagen and that carbon dioxide was needed to speed up the demutation. The Turtles knocked their foes flat on their backs and shoved fire extinguishers into the creatures’ mouths, which administered the needed carbon dioxide. Finally, the antidote took effect and the 2 mutants returned to their animal forms.

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Mutant Tokka, as a stylized Funko POP! Tokka is a mutant alligator snapping turtle from the second live action movie. He is partnered with Rahzar. The design of Tokka in the movie was inspired by the drawings of comic book artist and writer Stephen R. Bissette. Bissette’s noted works include Aliens: Tribes, Tyrant, Taboo, and his award winning run in Saga of the Swamp Thing, among numerous articles and books on comics and horror films. He, along with Rahzar was created by Shredder due to The Foot Clan‘s failure to defeat the TMNT in the first movie. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Michelangelo Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Michelangelo, as a stylized Funko POP! Michelangelo is depicted in the live-action movies as the easy-going, free-spirited Turtle. Along with Splinter and his brothers, Michelangelo was forced to move in with April O’Neil temporarily. However, he seemed to enjoy this arrangement, celebrating when she said that the Turtles could remain as long as they wanted. As tensions rose between Raphael and Leonardo, Michelangelo unsuccessfully attempted to lighten the mood with jokes. He was also responsible for accidentally discovering their new lair, falling through the floor of a storm drain and into an abandoned subway station. Despite this discovery, Michelangelo was the least enthused about making it their home, due to the dust and cobwebs. After they had moved in, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Donatello received word that Raphael has been captured by The Foot Clan, and they set out to rescue him. They were briefly trapped by The Foot Clan and nearly killed, but escaped with the help of Splinter, and were pitted against the vicious mutants Tokka and Rahzar.

During the battle that ensued, Michelangelo found a nearby manhole cover, allowing the 4 Turtles to escape with a captured Professor Jordan Perry. He was also tasked with bringing Perry’s anti-mutagenic compound to Tokka and Rahzar, which the Turtles had hidden inside doughnuts. However, the effect was too slow, allowing the new mutants to attack the Turtles. Michelangelo and Raphael were able to knock down Tokka and Rahzar long enough for Donatello to catalyze the anti-mutagen, reverting them back to a normal snapping turtle and wolf. However, this battle led to hundreds of people seeing the Turtles, a situation that Michelangelo seemed thoroughly pleased by. Just as the Turtles thought they had defeated Shredder, they discovered that he had instead been exposed to the mutagenic Ooze, which transformed him into a “Super Shredder“. Along with his brothers, Michelangelo escaped into the ocean and was able to swim to shore, leaving the Shredder to be crushed under a falling boardwalk. In the Mirage comics, all 4 of the Turtles wear red masks, but for the creators to tell them apart, Michelangelo was written and redrawn to have an orange eye mask.

Ninja Turtle Donatello Funko POP, Funko POPS & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Funko POPS, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Donatello

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Donatello Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Donatello, as a stylized Funko POP! Donatello is the scientific intellectual of the Ninja Turtles, who were all trained by Splinter in the arts of ninjutsu. Along with his brothers, Donatello was forced to move in temporarily with April O’Neil, a situation that he seemed pleased with. His scientific curiosity was piqued when Splinter informed the Turtles of the connection between their mutation and the TGRI corporation, and Donatello’s technical skills were put to the test infiltrating their database. However, the Turtles were unsuccessful in keeping the last of the mutagenic Ooze out of The Foot Clan‘s hands. Donatello accompanied Leonardo and Michelangelo in the search for a new lair, which led them to an abandoned subway station. Donatello was immediately delighted by this discovery, but seemed worried by the absence of Raphael as they moved in.

When the Turtles set out to rescue Raphael, Donatello was thrown through the wall of one of the buildings, and discovered the captured Professor Jordan Perry. After freeing him, Donatello dragged Perry to the sewers, and brought him back to the Turtles’ new lair to confer with them on Shredder‘s new, highly-aggressive mutants Tokka and Rahzar. However, Donatello became depressed upon hearing from Perry that the Ooze that mutated them had been a freak laboratory accident, having believed that there must have been more to their mutations than mere chance. Splinter consoled his son by assuring him that a person’s worth is not determined by their origins. Donatello worked alongside Perry to formulate an anti-mutagenic compound, hoping that they could revert Tokka and Rahzar back to normal animals. At their next confrontation, the Turtles successfully administered a dose of the anti-mutagen to Tokka and Rahzar, but the creatures discovered the ruse and began attacking them.

During the ensuing battle, Donatello used a fire extinguisher to speed up the anti-mutagen, reverting the two mutants back into an ordinary wolf and snapping turtle. However, this led to Donatello and his brothers being seen by hundreds of humans in a nightclub as they fought Shredder and their mutant opponents. Just as the Turtles thought they had defeated Shredder, they discovered that he had instead been exposed to the mutagenic Ooze, which transformed him into a “Super Shredder“. Along with his brothers, Donatello escaped into the ocean and was able to swim to shore, leaving the Shredder to be crushed under a falling boardwalk. They returned home, victorious, only to discover that Splinter had learned of their public display. In the Mirage comics, all 4 of the Turtles wear red masks, but for the creators to tell them apart, Donatello was written and redrawn to have a purple eye mask.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Raphael Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Raphael, as a stylized Funko POP! Raphael, nicknamed Raph, is a mutant turtle who, along with his brothers, is trained by Master Splinter in the arts of ninjutsu in their home in the sewers of New York City. Along with his brothers and Splinter, Raphael temporarily moved into April’s new apartment. His mood was noticeably improved now that the Shredder was seemingly dead, though he was beginning to chafe under the secrecy that they lived under, and there was still tension with Leonardo. Upon learning that the Ooze that mutated them came from TGRI, Raphael accompanied his brothers to the facility to investigate further. They encountered Tatsu and the Foot Ninjas there, and began fighting for possession of the last canister of mutagen.

This loss of the canister weighed on his mind as the Turtles prepared to leave, but he was temporarily distracted by the arrival of the pizza delivery boy Keno, who had figured out that the Turtles were living in April‘s apartment. When the Turtles went out in search of a new home, Raphael expressed his frustration that they weren’t pursuing the Foot at present. This lead to another argument with Leonardo, and Raphael left moments before his brothers uncovered their new lair. He enlisted Keno to help him by pretending to be a new recruit for The Foot, but was ambushed and captured by Foot Ninjas before his plans could be carried out. He was left bound and gagged in a junkyard as bait to lure his brothers, who came to rescue him but were nearly killed themselves. Once Donatello freed him, Raphael attempted to take down Rahzar but was unsuccessful, and the Turtles were forced to withdraw before the mutants had a chance to overwhelm them.

Their next confrontation was somewhat more successful: Raphael and Michelangelo were able to knock down Tokka and Rahzar long enough for Donatello to catalyze the anti-mutagen, reverting them back to a normal snapping turtle and wolf. Just as the Turtles thought they had defeated Shredder, they discovered that he had instead been exposed to the mutagenic ooze, which transformed him into a “Super Shredder“. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret of The Ooze Leonardo Funko POP

From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, Leonardo, as a stylized Funko POP! Leonardo, nicknamed Leo, is the leader of the Ninja Turtles, who were all trained by Master Splinter in the arts of ninjutsu. In the second film (Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze), Leonardo was much more prominent and his leader position was brought into focus. Leonardo is once again sensitive, caring, and humorous in this story, but he now displays far more aggressive leadership tendencies. Along with Splinter and his brothers, Leonardo was forced to move in with April O’Neil temporarily. During their stay, he led them on a successful battle against a large group of criminals robbing nearby shops. When Splinter revealed that the Ooze had come from the TGRI corporation, Leonardo and his brothers headed there in hopes of finding new answers to their origins. They encountered Tatsu and The Foot ninjas there, and began fighting for possession of the last canister of mutagen.

This loss led to friction between Leonardo and Raphael, as Leonardo believed that their first priority should be finding a safe location for their new home, while Raphael was primarily concerned with find The Foot Clan. A new lair was found mere moments after Raphael left, and Leonardo grew more angry with his brother as they moved their belongings into it. However, he did not allow this anger to interfere with mounting a rescue for Raphael, which almost led to disaster when the other 3 Turtles were briefly captured. They managed to escape the mutant wolf and snapping turtle, Rahzar and Tokka, and withdrew to the sewers with Professor Jordan Perry, a scientist whom The Foot had abducted. Their next confrontation was somewhat more successful, Tokka and Rahzar were knocked down long enough for Donatello to catalyze the anti-mutagen, reverting them back to a normal snapping turtle and wolf.

However, this led to Leonardo and his brothers being seen by hundreds of humans in a nightclub as they fought Shredder and their mutant opponents. They returned home, victorious, only to discover that Splinter had learned of their error. In the Mirage comics, all 4 of the Turtles wear red masks, but for the creators to tell them apart, Leonardo was written and redrawn to have an ocean-blue eye mask.
